BariMed II Mattress – Bariatric Alternating Pressure Relief Mattress – HC
Designed for the treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers for bariatric patients in acute care, hospitals including ICU environments, nursing homes and home care.
The BariMed II Mattress System uses an alternating air system with a user weight limit of up to 300kg/47st, it provides dynamic pressure relief suitable for patients at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers.
This level of pressure reduction is achieved through a two-cell cycle, enabling the mattress to provide optimal pressure relief. This, combined with a cell-on-cell construction that further helps to reduce pressure, makes the mattress ideal for bariatric patients.
Suitable for patients AT RISK to VERY HIGH RISK of developing pressure ulcers.

- Alternating cycle time: 10 to 25 minutes, increasing in 5 minute intervals

- Seat Inflate mode gives additional support on sacrum area in sitting-up position.
- Max Firm mode allows rapid mattress inflation for immediate patient access.
- Static mode allows alternation to be disabled temporarily (return to alternating mode automatically after 20 minutes)
- Audible and visible alarm indicating low pressure, alternating failure and power failure.
- Vapour permeable, multi-stretch cover with non-slip base to reduce skin shear and friction.
- High weld strength seams with full length zip flap cover
- CPR function allows for rapid deflation in the event of an emergency
- Pillow function - head zone comprising of 3 fully inflated static air cells to provide patient comfort.
- Heel function - provides single air cell deflation to float the heels with zero pressure.
- Dual layer cell structure provides both alternation therapy and constant support in case of power-outage or transportation for up to 48 hours.
- Lock function – pump unit will auto lock after 5 minute or can be manually locked
- Ideal for treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers
