The Advantage Bariatric Hoist is designed for someone who cannot safely stand or take weight through their legs and needs a higher-capacity hoist for everyday transfers. With a safe working load of up to 320kg (50 stone), it can help carers move a person safely between a bed, chair or wheelchair using a suitable sling.
A four-point spreader bar with 360° range provides support during lifting and transfers, while the electrically operated leg spreader allows the base of the hoist to be widened more easily when positioning it around a chair or wheelchair. Its large steering handle and braked rear castors also help carers manoeuvre and position the hoist during everyday use.
