The Medicare works two ways. On its own it is a hybrid support surface; add the discreet pump and it becomes an alternating therapy system — so the same mattress can step up if someone’s risk level changes, without buying a second one.
Suitable for use with patients both at risk and requiring treatment for pressure ulcers up to and including grade 4.
Who this is for?
This is for someone whose pressure care needs are likely to change, and for the family or carers who would otherwise have to swap the mattress later on. Used on its own it is a foam and air hybrid; add the pump and the same mattress becomes an alternating pressure system, so nothing has to be replaced when needs increase. Suitable for people assessed at risk through to very high risk of pressure ulcers, up to 200kg.
