Gel Mattress Overlay for Pressure Relief – EKA

The EKA Gel Overlay sits on top of your existing mattress, adding an 8cm layer of viscoelastic foam and gel that moulds to the body and spreads pressure more evenly — for anyone at high risk of pressure ulcers who doesn’t need to replace the whole mattress. This helps minimise localised stress on vulnerable areas such as the heels, sacrum, and shoulders, significantly reducing the risk of tissue breakdown.

The overlay is encased in a high-performance bi-elastic incontinence cover, which stretches in multiple directions to further aid pressure redistribution and reduce shear forces. The cover is washable at temperatures up to 95°C, ensuring optimal hygiene and durability. For added protection, it includes a concealed mite-proof zipper, safeguarding against allergens and supporting a hygienic care environment.
