Who is the Mediair Turn Mattress suitable for?
The Mediair Turn is an automatic turning and alternating pressure relief mattress for people with very limited mobility who may be unable to reposition themselves regularly in bed.
It combines pressure-relieving air therapy with gentle automated lateral turning up to 30°, helping redistribute pressure away from vulnerable areas of the body while reducing the amount of manual repositioning required from family members and carers.
Ideal for:
- People who are bed-bound or have severely limited mobility
- People who cannot reposition themselves independently in bed
- People at high or very high risk of developing pressure ulcers
- Home or community care where regular repositioning is required
- Situations where carers need additional support with frequent or overnight repositioning
Pressure relief and automatic turning in one mattress
Unlike a standard alternating pressure mattress, the Mediair Turn provides both alternating pressure relief and rotational therapy.
Its 28-cell dual-layer surface continually redistributes pressure, while the mattress can gently turn the user up to 30° to either side at programmed intervals. Turning intervals can be adjusted from 30 to 210 minutes, allowing the system to be tailored to individual care requirements.
Designed to make complex pressure care easier
Profile Sensor Technology monitors changes in the user’s position and adjusts mattress pressure to help maintain support and reduce the risk of bottoming out.
For additional safety, rotational therapy automatically pauses when the bed is profiled above 35°.
The integrated AIR500™ System also maintains mattress inflation for more than 500 hours in the event of a power failure, providing additional reassurance where continuous pressure support is important.
Suitable for patients assessed from at risk through to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers, including use up to Grade 4 pressure ulcers.
Suitable for patients AT RISK to VERY HIGH RISK of developing pressure ulcers.
