High-Density Foam Pressure Relief Mattress – Mediform

The Mediform is a high-density visco-foam mattress for people at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers. Its temperature-sensitive foam moulds to the body to spread pressure more evenly, while the waterproof multi-stretch cover helps reduce friction, shear, heat and moisture.

EPUAP evidence shows individuals need more frequent repositioning on non-pressure redistributing mattresses than on visco-foam mattresses. The Mediform can reduce the amount of pressure your patient is exposed to along with reducing the need for frequent repositioning of your patient, due to its superior levels of temperature sensitive high-density, visco-foam.

Who this is for?

This is for someone who is now spending far more of the day in bed or in a chair than they used to, but who has not been told they need a powered air mattress. The foam responds to body heat and moulds to the person, spreading their weight instead of letting it press down on hips, heels and shoulders, there is no pump, nothing to plug in and nothing to maintain. Suitable for people assessed at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers, up to 190kg.
